Fonte do Frade Residences featured in Anteprojectos magazine

The article highlights a proposal of two multi-family buildings with a total of 40 apartments, green spaces, leisure areas and a swimming pool. The project brings together a contemporary architectural language and the memory of the place.

Balconies that extend the home

The façades are marked by projections and balconies that give movement to the whole and extend private spaces outwards. The contrast between white and dark grey accentuates the lines of the buildings and the play of light and shadow.

The balconies, distributed along the façades, reinforce the relationship between solid and void. Dark grey lacquered aluminium frames and the railings complete the composition, contributing to the visual identity of the project.

Green spaces and local memory

One of the elements highlighted by the magazine is the integration of the Fonte dos Frades at the heart of the housing proposal. Presented as a former meeting point for local residents, the fountain remains associated with green leisure and social spaces, preserving the link to the history of the surroundings.

The proposal seeks to provide comfort and places to meet, reconciling residential use with the appreciation of this element of local memory.

Architecture by Escala Absoluta

The feature also includes a presentation of Escala Absoluta and its multidisciplinary team of architecture, engineering and legal services, with offices in Figueira da Foz and Lisbon.

Attention to each client’s needs, functional spaces and the search for tailored solutions are principles mentioned by the publication when describing the practice.
