Casa da Foz featured in Anteprojectos magazine

Casa da Foz, an Escala Absoluta project in Figueira da Foz, was presented on pages 90 and 91 of the August 2026 issue of Anteprojectos magazine.

Volumes that create shade and shelter

The upper floor projects over the ground floor, forming a cantilevered composition. The solution gives the house presence and creates shaded areas alongside the lower spaces.

Integration into the site includes stepped planters with cacti and succulents that accompany the earth retaining walls. On the street front, a low wall establishes the relationship with the public space.

Light, garden and spaces to rest

The proposal is arranged over basement, ground floor and upper floor. The social level brings together the living area, kitchen, laundry and study. The dining room opens onto the garden through a large glazed opening, with the fireplace and built-in shelving shaping the interior.

On the upper floor, three bedrooms share a continuous balcony. The main suite includes a walk-in wardrobe and private bathroom. The balcony extends the interiors and helps shade the openings.
